Facilities Maintenance Engineer

£35,000 – 36,000 + £1,200 Bonus
The Company
We are working with a family owned food processing business in Luton with a turnover in excess of £200 million and over fifty years history in their marketplace. The business has experienced rapid growth in the past few years and have established successful relationships supplying to some of the UK’s largest food retailers.
Due to increasing demand they are now recruiting for a new Facilities Maintenance Engineer to join their team with immediate effect.
The Role
As a Facilities Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of all the facilities equipment at the site including fans, bay doors, pipework systems and lighting systems.
You will also be:
- Working on a mixture of single phase and three phase-controlled equipment.
- Carrying out both electrical and mechanical work on the facilities equipment at site.
- Carrying out electrical fault find on control panels
You will initially shadow another engineer in the team to become familiar with the equipment at site. The company are also happy to offer food safety training.
The role works around a rotating shift pattern including morning shift (5:30am to 1pm), day shift (8am to 4pm), afternoon shift (1:30pm to 9:30pm) with a fourth week where you work five days from seven in the week and act as on call support.
The Candidate
To be successful in your application for this Facilities Maintenance Engineer role you will need:
- Experience with three phase electrical systems.
- To be happy being on call one week in four.
- Electrical fault finding skills.
- A great proactive attitude to work.
