My background in recruitment

I’ve been in the industry for 15 years now and I’ve been with ATA Recruitment for all that time! It seems a long time ago now that I was a very green Chemistry graduate! I realised pretty quickly that I loved recruitment and took to it straight away. After a couple of years in the business I was managing my first team and since then my role has continued to grow initially in terms of leadership responsibility and more recently to include sales strategy.

Having managed some our most important customer relationships over the years In 15 years there aren’t many engineering roles that I haven’t recruited for! I’ve placed directors, senior managers, engineers, graduates and apprentices across wide variety of engineering sectors including logistics, food manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, process engineering and many more!

I can help you with

In my role as Sales Manager my key focus is to help! As a manager that could be helping one of my team grow in their role or to support them in developing their relationships with customers. I have a huge passion for customers and ensuring their experience with ATA is first class.

I regularly speak with new customers to help them understand what ATA do and how we can partner with them and manage review processes with our existing customers to take feedback to see how we can improve their experience in working with us

I also love offering true recruitment consultancy to customers to help their recruitment process run as smoothly as possible. Working with us should make recruitment easier! I’ll offer customers advice and expertise on market conditions, candidate availability, help them tailor their selection process and anything else that I think will make their lives easier.

The best part of my job

I think the most exciting part of role is always the feeling of success of bringing a customer and candidate together and I love helping new customers see the benefits in partnering with us.

I also manage and lead our senior sales team and I love seeing the team have success and helping people develop in the craft of recruitment consultancy.

What I do when I'm not in the office

I try to do too much!

First and foremost it’s about spending time with the family, my daughter is 8 and growing up too fast! I’ve been in bands since my university days and currently sing a rock covers band which is great fun. I’m a fair-weather golfer on a fair handicap of 10! I love keeping fit and run a lot. I also love my music and having played the guitar for many years I taught myself the piano in 2020 and have been teaching myself Spanish on Duolingo.

ATA approached me via email about a job opportunity. Right from the initial contact ATA were being attentive as the role presented to me was exactly what I was looking for; salary, location, package and in line with my experience.
