Factory Labourer
Sheffield, South Yorkshire
2-month contract (likely extension)
Pay rate: £11.00 - £11.50p/h DOE + OT
Our Client
I am working with a key client who are a global precision engineering manufacturer, based out of South Yorkshire. Due to site development and upgrade projects, they are looking for Labourers to assist with general work involved with the upgrading of the facility and general capital equipment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
v Reporting to the Project Manager and assisting engineers, you will be removing and dismantling old machines as instructed
v Assisting with the removal of redundant gas pipe from an elevated position (use of a cherry picker – working from heights)
v Ideally you will be competent in general hand tools such as spanners and drills
v Conduct all other labouring duties as required as well as operate Forklift Truck (CB)
v Report any issues or problems promptly
v Ability to always work professionally and safely in accordance with company procedures
The successful candidate:
v Strong communication skills, with a keen eye for Health, Safety and Quality
v Experience in industrial industries
v FTL licence essential (CB)
v Cherry Picker/IPAF licence would be highly desirable
v Professional and a team player essential
v Open to the possibility of a permanent position
