The Company

Our client has a strong foundation within the UK having been established in 1874 and has had an increase of 16.51% leading to an annual turnover of £23.6 million, with a speciality in the design and manufacture of special purpose machinery for various industries.

Our client has been growing yearly and looking to expand by hiring a further 5 engineers around the Midlands. This is thanks to an internal promotion to a Commissioning Engineer, plus additional engineers to cope with an increased workload across the service department.

The Role

The Field Service Engineer will be required to service and maintain the Special Service Machinery across the East and West Midlands. Most of the work within this role will be mechanical in nature such as working on conveyors, pipework, pneumatics, and compressors. However, as the Field Service Engineer you will be working with control panels, 3 phase motors, instrumentation and basic PLC. Alongside the secret and maintenance work the service engineer will be required to calibrate and test the equipment on a 6-month basis.

Whilst the role is focused within the East and West Midlands, there would be occasions which require the engineer to stay overnight, however this is infrequent. As much as the role is mechanical, there will be a requirement to be able to fault find with a Multimeter. However, as part of your training, you will be staying away Mon-Fri, however when in your home patch, you will be home every night.

The Candidate

To be successful for this role:

•             Hold a recognised mechanical or electrical qualification

•             Must be able to Fault Find with a Multimeter

•             Must hold a Full UK Driving Licence

ATA is committed to creating a diverse workforce and is an equal opportunities employer. We welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons regardless of age, disability, gender, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, and sexual orientation
