Field Service Engineer - Essex
£35,000 + (Overtime available 40k OTE)+ Van + £3k Tax free allowance
The Company:
This multinational manufacturing business design, build and service industrial machinery. The equipment is fully automated with PLC controls and complex mechanical and electronic systems. They have a training programme to develop engineers from all different backgrounds to become specialists in their fields. This involves training courses on compressors, instrumentation, F-Gas, electrical training and more.
The Role:
The role of field service engineer will involve:
- Servicing of capital machinery, inspections and writing reports
- Attending site for emergency breakdowns
- A mechanical bias (80%), working on compressors, pumps, pipework and valves
- Electrically will involve 3 phase systems, control panels, motors, sensors and PLC’s
- Training courses to become specialised in the role.
The Candidate:
To be suitable for the role of field service engineer you will need:
- Have a recognised engineering qualification
- Industrial machine experience – This can be from factory experience or from the Navy working on Ships or Subs
- Communication and organisational skills as the role is customer facing
- Keen to learn and improve as an engineer
