About the Company
Our client specialises in the design, manufacture, install and service of a wide range of special purpose materials processing equipment. From stand alone machines to fully automated bespoke processing lines, they can cater to any requirement their customers may have.
Having recently completed a merger with one of their competitors, the business is experiencing a fantastic period of growth, having already hired two new Field Service Engineers in the North and Midlands. They now look to bolster their Engineering coverage in the South of England to cope with their ever growing customer base.
About the role
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for routine services, installation of new machines and lines, plus attending breakdowns when required. Covering from Leicester down to the South Coast, the Field Service Engineer will be required to stay away during the week but this will vary depending on location and job type.
Hands on work is an equal mix of electrical and mechanical work, with all the machines being PLC controlled. However, the Field Service Engineer will not be required to interrogate the PLC as this would be done remotely by their Controls Teams. They would be required to be able to fault find through with a multimeter to inputs and outputs.
Due to the bespoke nature of their products, full product training will be provided so the client is interested in speaking to anyone with a good background in the maintenance and service of automated production equipment.
The Candidate
To be successful in your application you must have the following skills or attributes:
- Must have a recognised Engineering Qualification (Electrical or Mechanical)
- Must be able to fault find with a multimeter
- Must be willing to stay away when required
