Job Role – Field Service Engineer
Patch – Covering Northamptonshire, Buckinghamshire, and Bedfordshire
Salary - £38k rising to £40k after probation + Door to Door travel £48k + OT x1.5 (OTE £50k plus)
Hours – Mon – Friday 40hrs
The Company
Our Client is a UK business with an annual turnover of multi millions, and specialise in manufacturing and selling aluminium, steel sawing and routing equipment. The routing equipment takes metal bars, creates shapes, holes, indents in the material to the customer specifications. Our client has over 100 machines as part of their range which can sell between 10k and 500k.
Internationally the company has a solid reputation supplying to the US, Asia and across Europe, with over 1000 employees. Within the UK they supply to a wide range of business including manufacturers of doors and windows, picture frames, signs and partition walling, with their largest UK customer being MFI.
The Role
The Field Service Engineer will be installing, repairing and servicing the CNC Cutting and Sawing equipment. Covering Northamptonshire, Buckinghamshire and Bedfordshire, the role will consist of 40% installing of new machinery, 40% reactive breakdown work and 20% routine service. The role will be an equal split mechanical and electrical work.
Installations will range from 1-2 days depending on the machine being installed. The largest installation may require working with the rest of the installation team, especially on the larger fully automated lines.
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be required to be able to fault find with the Multimeter, read electrical drawings, and change out faulty components both electrical and mechanical.
The Candidate
To be successful within this role:
- A recognised electrical or mechanical qualification
- Experience in maintaining automated equipment
- Full UK Driving License
