Skilled Fitter & Sheet Metal Fabricator opportunities - Blackburn area
Contract/Temp opportunity
£15.00 - £18.00p/h DOE (PAYE or UMBRELLA – inside IR35)
2–3-month contract, likely extension/on-going/T2P
I am working with a key client in the Blackburn area who are looking for Skilled Fitters AND sheet metal fabricators, to work on the build of composite and aluminium structural assemblies for the aerospace sector. There are several positions available immediately!
For this position, you will require to conduct the following duties:
v Ability to read complex engineering drawings to tight tolerances
v Use hand tools
v Assemble, fit all aspects mechanically, structure & body etc
v Hand fabrication
v Working with composite material and aluminium
v Work to production plans and timescales
The successful person will need to have the following attributes:
v Engineering time served ideally or min. NVQ L2 in fitting and/or fabrication
v Good workshop body fitting or fabrication experience within aerospace industry or similar
v A strong team player
v Experience within a high precision manufacturing environment with composite materials experience ideally
v Strong communication skills, with a keen eye for Health, Safety and Quality.
