HR Manager – Derbyshire

Previous experience in a Manufacturing / Logistics / Engineering environment

12 Month Fixed Term Contract - Immediate Start

£40k - £50k Salary

This well-established growing business is looking to recruit an HR Business Partner on a permanent basis. This will be a challenging role that will suit a strong HR generalist with a wide range of experience in the manufacturing or logistics environment. Strong interpersonal skills to help build good relationships with senior management within the business are key and the ability to coach managers to making decisions is imperative to the role. The HR Manager will be responsible for the following

  • Responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the HR department
  • Supervision of 3 HR advisors and reporting to the Head of HR
  • Lead the early career and L&D plans including graduates and apprentices
  • Overseeing all recruitment within the business and liaising with external suppliers to ensure that demand is met
  • Responsible for controlling the induction and onboarding process
  • Managing the training plans internally
  • Liaising with a variety of stakeholders within the business
  • Involved in strategic HR projects across the business
  • Develop strong credible relationships with the management team

The HR Manager will need the following skills to be considered for this role:

  • Previous HR Management experience in a multi-site manufacturing / engineering or industrial / Logistics environment
  • The successful HR Manager will have a strong HR generalist background and great communication skills to be able to work with a range of senior and operational managers/directors on a daily basis.
  • Strong character that is confident in dealing with people
  • Effective coaching skills
  • Capable to adapt in fast moving situations
  • CIPD Level 5
