Ganymede are recruiting two Internal Assurance Managers to take responsibility for expert audit, risk and assurance activities within the delivery of Europe’s largest infrastructure construction programme.

The Role

The two Assurance Manager roles will take responsibility for business improvement activities through the completion of internal audits, identifying risks within current practices to the most effective delivery of the programme. This organisation is required to provide the benchmark for Health, Safety, Security, Environmental Management, Quality and Assurance practices offering the successful Assurance Managers an opportunity to influence an industry, not just your own organisation.

Forming relationships with senior stakeholders within the business, the Assurance Manager will be responsible for;

-          Developing audit and assurance plans to identify risk across numerous business activities

-          Encouraging subject matter experts to contribute to risk mitigation strategies and improvement plans

-          Reporting on audit and assurance activities to the Senior Assurance Manager, with clearly defined and sensible recommendations to resolve issues identified

-          Monitoring progress and ensuring management systems are update to reflect the changes implemented

-          Leading and facilitating lessons learned and innovation activities to encourage feedback from the organisation and a proactive approach to business improvement

-          Spot audits on corporate control activities to identify on compliance issues and provide recommendations for improvement

-          Analysing audit and assurance findings to identify common trends for management review

-          Collaborating with external bodies, agencies and suppliers to influence industry assurance practices.

About You

Candidates for these positions are expected to have demonstrable experience in internal assurance management and audit roles. It will be advantageous if this includes public sector / government / local authority environments in regulated industries, to reflect the complexity of work involved in this role.

The successful candidate will hold an appropriate qualification in assurance management or auditing and will be familiar with these activities across quality, health and safety, commercial and procurement functions.

This role has many internal interfaces so requires exceptional communication skills (written, verbal and in the current climate, digital communication).

These roles will suit someone seeking autonomy and whom have an inquisitive mind to challenge conventional thinking.

You will be data driven and skilled in analysing information to identify risk, understand scope and impact and the necessary controls to address.

Familiarity with IIA standards and accredited to the same will certainly enhance your application.
