Role: Maintenance Engineer

Shifts: Three shift Mon-Fri (Earlies, Lates and Nights)

Location: Bedfordshire

Salary: £45,000 + Overtime

The Company:

My Client are global manufacturing business that have been established for over 40 years and can boast some fantastic retention across the whole business. Having now undergone a period of change within the engineering department at site, they are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join their site in Bedfordshire that has a variety of interesting machinery, some brand new with the latest automation on the market! With a variety of kit no two days are the same here and this presents an exciting challenge for a Maintenance Engineer who wants to get their teeth stuck in and drive forward change and Continuous Improvement on site!

Along with working with some of the latest technology, there are also some fantastic progression opportunities within the business too. With each engineer having a clear dedicated training plan aimed at upskilling any technical weak points, my client puts the development of its engineers as a top priority!

The Role:

The Role of Maintenance Engineer will include the following:

  • Planned and Reactive Maintenance on all of the automated special purpose machinery on site
  • Working Electrically with Three Phase Kit, Sensors, Relays, Invertors, Contactors, Drives
  • Fault Finding electrically within Control Panels and on PLCs to Input Output Level
  • Working within a small team of highly skilled Engineers
  • Working Mechanically with: Belts, Rollers, Shafts, Gearboxes, Pulleys, Chains
  • Working on Projects across the site aimed at improving machine efficiencies

The Candidate:

The right Candidate for the role of Maintenance Engineer will include the following:

  • A Recognized Engineering Qualification
  • Experience working in a factory setting electrically
  • Confident using a Multi-Meter
  • Happy to work alone or within a team
  • Be open to take onboard training externally and internally
  • Have a Pro-Active and Can-do approach to maintenance
