Maintenance engineer, Kirkby in Ashfield, £33,000

3 shift pattern - Monday-Friday - 06:00 – 14:00 / 14:00 – 22:00 / 22:00 – 06:00

Calling all maintenance engineers!! ATA is working with one of Europe’s largest plastics companies at one of their bespoke manufacturing sites in Nottinghamshire, supporting them to find their next multiskilled maintenance engineer. The group who employ over 25,000 people across 30 countries and across 150 sites, boast a turnover into their billions.

This site based in Kirkby In Ashfield, started out as a family run business and due to the high quality and success of its products, the group acquired the site in 2015.  They have since gone from strength to strength and last year inputted a turnover of £30million into the group. This has allowed them to install new lines and increase production.

About the role

As a maintenance engineer you will be responsible for providing breakdown cover and completing planned preventive maintenance on a busy production site. You will be responsible for maintaining plant machinery including belt conveyors, injection moulding machinery, rotating machinery, robotics and extrusions.

You will have the responsibility of keeping breakdown time to a minimum, improving machine efficiency and working in conjunction with the groups LEAN and continuous improvement plans.

Further responsibilities include;

  • Electromechanical fault finding
  • Machine installation & project work.
  • Compliance and health and safety.
  • Critical stock control.

About you

As a maintenance engineer should have the following:

  • Recognised engineering qualification
  • Previous experience working within manufacturing (Desirable, not essential).
  • A methodical mind set, with the ability to problem solve and adapt with short notice.
  • The ability to work within a proactive nature.
  • Have a passion for engineering,
