Role – Maintenance Engineer
Location – Brighton
Salary – £35,000 – £45,000 + Overtime + Company Bonus
Shift – Monday – Friday Days
The Company
ATA Recruitment is currently working with one of the largest steel stockists who have over 25 sites across the UK and have been established for well over 100 years. As a company they are responsible for providing a variety of services such as laser cutting, shot blasting and drilling and supply finished steel to a variety of sectors such as construction sites and fabrication companies.
On each of the sites they have a maintenance engineering team who are responsible for the electrical and mechanical maintenance of the various machinery on site. On this site they have a team of 5 that primarily work on a days-based shift, Monday to Friday.

The Role
The role of Maintenance Engineer will involve:

Reactive and preventative maintenance of all equipment onsite, this will be both electrical and mechanical.

Equipment includes CNC drills, cutters and milling machines, plasma cutting, paint line and various handling beds.

Electrical work will involve fault finding on 3 phase machinery, changing motors, control circuit issues etc.

Mechanical work will involve repairing and replacing bearings, shafts, gearboxes, spindles, belts, pullies.

There will be minimal PLC work as this is typically dealt with by a third-party company.

Working on a days-based shift pattern, this will be 40 hours a week, Monday-Friday.
The Person
To be successful as a Maintenance Engineer you will need:

A multi-skilled Level 3 engineering qualification.

Previous experience working on automated and 3 phase machinery within a manufacturing, production or FMCG type environment.
