Maintenance Engineer, Based in Thrapston, Working 4 on 4 off Days and nights with 18 days off after completing 7 rotations, earning from £45,000 + OT

Here at ATA, we are excited to be providing assistance to our client, an internationally recognised market leading manufacturer, in their search for a maintenance engineer at their well-established site based in Thrapston.
Our client has been operating for over 80 years worldwide and in that time has created a great reputation based on quality and service. Due to this quality and service, the firm has established itself with a large number of companies such as Amazon, Domino’s and with others currently in the pipeline, simultaneously highlighting the stability of the businesses long term future.
Furthermore, as our client is committed to a greener future, there has been a heavy investment into the site with multiple projects over the last few years. This has been shown this year where the business has invested in new machinery totalling just under £5 million. Highlighting how the site wants to become more efficient, as well as improve its carbon footprint. Therefore, this a great opportunity for an engineer to join a stable and growing company, while also working on the newest machinery in engineering.
The Role
During your time as the maintenance engineer on site, you will be expected to work on a variety of machinery as detailed below. The work you will be carrying out during your time will be mostly electrical with a minor part being mechanical. Therefore, as the maintenance engineer onsite, you will be responsible for:
- Completing ppm’s, reacting to breakdowns, and completing remedial repair work across a busy manufacturing site.
- Hands on the work will be more electrical than mechanical
- You will need to be confident fault finding using a Multimeter.
- Working on 3 phase equipment (415v), conveyors, packaging lines, and bespoke machinery specific to this site.
- Fault finding on automated machinery, this would be through various methods, including through PLCs.
The Engineer
To be considered for this Maintenance Engineer opportunity, you should have:
- Experience working within a factory environment.
- Must have a Level 3 Engineering Qualification
- Must have experience with Fault Finding on 3 Phase Machinery.
