Here at ATA, we are excited to be working with our client who is an internationally recognised manufacturer looking for a maintenance engineer at their well-established site in Wellingborough. 

Our client has been operating for over 100 years and during this time our client has grown the business over multiple generations to a turnover north of £550 million. As the business has grown through the years, this has allowed the business to reinvest, creating sites which are so advanced they have been regarded the most technologically advanced within the manufacturing sector. This has further allowed the engineers to improve on their skills working on the newest machinery in the industry.

Therefore, this is a great opportunity for a maintenance engineer to join a stable and growing company, with the opportunity to improve as an engineer technically, and gain further qualifications.

The Role

During your time as the maintenance engineer on site, you will be expected to work on either the mechanical or electrical elements of the machinery. Therefore, as the maintenance engineer onsite, you will be responsible for:

  • Completing ppm’s,
  • Reacting to breakdowns, and completing remedial repair work across a busy manufacturing site.
  • Hands on the work will be a mix of electrical and mechanical work.
  • You will need to be confident fault finding using a Multimeter.
  • Working on 3 phase equipment (415v), conveyors, packaging lines, and bespoke machinery specific to this site.
  • Fault finding on automated machinery, this would be through various methods, including through PLCs.

The Engineer

To be considered for this Maintenance Engineer opportunity, you should have:

  • Experience working within a factory environment.
  • Must have a Level 3 Engineering Qualification
  • Must have experience with Fault Finding on 3 Phase Machinery.
