Location: Birmingham.
Salary: £ + 51 – 53K company Bonuses + Premium Overtime Rates + Specialist Training + OEM Courses.
On-Target Earnings: £60K – 65K
Shifts: 4 on 4 off Rotation. (Days and Nights)

The Company:
This is an amazing opportunity to work within an awesome multi-billion-pound group. Our client is looking for a mechanically biased maintenance engineer.
You will be working in a heavy industry environment working on large capital-intensive equipment, conveyors, cranes, presses, heat treatment and vacuum equipment.

With an emphasis on breakdown elimination and preventative/non-intrusive maintenance, the successful candidate will be encouraged to have a direct input into the continuous improvement culture, and have individual project ownership.
The applicant must be conversant with drives, gearboxes and have a good understanding and working knowledge of current safe working practices.
You will be working in a heavy industry environment working on foundry equipment, furnaces, large presses, plasma welding equipment, vacuum systems and forge furnaces.
The Role
Carrying out reactive maintenance on production equipment and machines across all the production facilities. The role will be 70% reactive and 30% PPM driven. You will be encouraged to have a direct input into the continuous improvement culture and have individual project ownership as you grow your career within the company.
Mechanical duties
Working on Hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
Replacing components like for like on large heavy industrial equipment.
Fault finding mechanically on all factory equipment.
Reading equipment drawing
Following weekly and monthly PPM plans when required.
You will be working in a heavy industry environment.
All PPMs are given by the maintenance supervisor, all generated by a SAP system.
