Maintenance Engineer, Hucknall, £48,000-52,000, 1.5x overtime pay, Annual performance bonus scheme, 25 days holiday plus your birthday off, Standard pension contributions and life assurance

About the Company

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Engineer to join a rapidly expanding leader in the aerospace supply chain. Following a 23% growth in 2023 and a major investment into a second UK site, this company continues to strengthen its position within the industry. With an annual turnover of £78 million and a fully booked order schedule, the outlook for 2025 is exceptionally strong.

The company prides itself on its positive culture and state-of-the-art facilities — over 90% of employees report being proud to work there and share in the company’s goals. The site itself is modern, meticulously maintained, and designed to provide a safe, efficient, and enjoyable working environment.

Your Role

As a Maintenance Engineer, you’ll play a key part in ensuring the smooth operation of a wide range of PLC-controlled production machinery used across the site. You’ll take ownership of both proactive and reactive maintenance activities to support operational efficiency and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out planned preventive maintenance tasks using the Idhammar CMMS system
  • Responding quickly and effectively to equipment breakdowns
  • Supporting engineering projects, including machine installations and upgrades
  • Identifying and addressing root causes of failures to drive continuous improvement
  • Collaborating with OEMs on project-based work

About You

We’re looking for a multiskilled engineer with a strong technical foundation and a proactive approach. Whether your background leans more mechanical or electrical, training will be provided to help you excel in this role.

You should have:

  • A recognised Level 3 engineering qualification
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or process-driven environment
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and high-quality maintenance standards
  • The ability to work efficiently under pressure and as part of a close-knit team

Why Join

You’ll be joining a forward-thinking business that is expanding, not downsizing — with a supportive maintenance manager who values growth and development within the team. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a company that invests heavily in both its people and its facilities.

Additional Benefits Include:

  • Private healthcare plan
  • Access to mental health and wellbeing support, including free counselling sessions
  • Dental plan with annual reimbursement and upgrade options
  • Free annual eye tests with an allowance for glasses
  • Cycle-to-work scheme
  • Enhanced holiday entitlement based on length of service
  • An extra day off to celebrate your birthday
