Salary - £41,718 (plus overtime – OTE £45k+)
Shift – 2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 3 off, 2 on, 3 off (Days / Nights – Every other weekend off)
Overtime – 1.5, 2.0

My client is one the World’s largest warehouse logistics specialists and looking for a maintenance engineer, with their turnover sitting at over €700 million globally and a UK turnover of around £60 million. They excel at providing fully automated sortation and distribution centres for a wide variety of industries, employing 210 staff across a number of UK sites which has gone from 2 sites to 10 sites in about 10 years, the business continues to expand thanks to a buoyant market.

The Role
As a Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for both Planned Preventative Maintenance Tasks and reacting to Breakdowns as they arise. With product volumes in the hundreds of thousands, speed is king and the Maintenance Engineer must react quickly to ensure the lines are up and running as soon as humanly possible.
Electrically the Maintenance Engineer will be fault finding with a multimeter through to component level, then replacing any faulty component. The site houses several miles of conveyor systems; thus a lot of the breakdowns will be mechanical in nature. This, coupled with the volume of product being moved per day, means that mechanical and electrical components are changed liked for like from stores.
The Candidate
To be successful in your application as a Maintenance Engineer you must have the following skills or attributes:
- Must have a recognised Electrical or Mechanical Qualification.
- Must have previous experience working as a Maintenance Engineer.
