The role
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining critical large-scale production equipment within a heavy engineering environment. This is a hands-on, technically demanding role, fully supported by a structured training programme.
Key responsibilities include:
• Planned preventative maintenance and reactive fault finding on bespoke machinery
• Maintenance of supporting equipment including conveyors, cranes and presses
• Accurate completion of PPM schedules, shift handovers and engineering reports
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within your production area
This role offers exposure to specialist machinery and technologies rarely found in standard manufacturing environments.
What they’re looking for
To be successful in this Maintenance Engineer role, you will need:
• A recognised engineering qualification at Level 3 or above (NVQ, City & Guilds, BTEC, ONC, HNC etc.)
• Strong electrical knowledge, ideally including high-voltage systems and IEE wiring regulations
• A strong safety-first mindset with excellent attention to detail
