Maintenance Engineer, £35,700, Ripley

Shifts – 4 on 4 of, Days only, 06:00 – 18:00pm followed by 10am – 22:00pm (Reduced hours on a Friday), average 36.5 hours per week.

ATA are supporting a specialist manufacturing company at their automated plant in Ripley. They are looking for 2 multiskilled maintenance engineers to join their team due to a sustained increase in orders since the start of the pandemic. This British giant are steeped in history and have been established for over 200 years making them one of the longest running production companies of their type. They turnover north of £20million, however with the installation of a brand-new production line due to go live this year and the company breaking into new markets, they expect this to grow significantly over the next few years.

About the role

As a maintenance engineer you will be responsible for completing ppm, reacting to breakdowns and completing remedial repair work in a busy manufacturing environment. This would be on automated plant machinery, including 3 phase equipment (415v), bespoke CNC equipment, conveyors, mixing lines, moulds, packaging lines plus more. You will be responsible for electrical fault finding to conclusion, installation and upgrade work. This role is multiskilled s there will be an aspect of mechanical fault finding and repair work.

About you

As a maintenance engineer, you should have experience working within an automated environment ideally from manufacturing. You should possess multiskilled knowledge, with ideally an electrical bias. You should be happy working within an industrial environment within a large engineering team. 

  • You should hold a recognised electrical engineering qualification (Level 3 or above) city and guilds, NVQ, BTEC, HND, HNC.
