Maintenance engineer, Hoveringham, Circa. £35,000 + plenty of overtime available OTE 40K 10% pension, 33 days holiday.

Shifts – 3 shift pattern, early afternoons and nights – 8-hour shifts.

Training – This role will include fantastic external training, which will include, IOSH, hydraulics, Abrasive wheels, IPAF 3b 3a + more.

ATA is working with one of the UKs largest manufacturers who is looking for an experienced maintenance engineer to join their special purpose-built site in Nottinghamshire. The company, who turn over £350million per annum have over 15 manufacturing sites dotted throughout the UK, which are all specially built to house a unique, LEAN & efficient production processes specific to them. process. Due to their market sustaining am impressive period of growth, my client has grown as a business by £100 million over the last three years. Growth has allowed them to acquire some of their competition and put in future plans to safeguard their business. Plans at this site include increasing production by 40% in 2022, upgrading machinery and safety systems & installing new equipment.

About the role

With this role, as a maintenance engineer you will be tasked with keeping production running efficiently and at optimum performance. You will be responsible for working from the CMMS system to complete ppm’s, process work orders and to keep breakdown time to a minimum.  

You will be responsible for fault finding, component stripping and rebuilding, swapping like for like, planned preventive maintenance, and breakdown cover

You will be responsible for maintaining, conveyors, batching houses, overhead cranes, gantry cranes, mixing systems and other PLC controlled equipment.

Further responsibilities include.

  • Compliance and health and safety.
  • Critical stock control.
  • Working in conjunction with the groups LEAN and continuous improvement plans

About you

As a maintenance engineer you should have experience within a similar field ideally from a manufacturing or automated background. You can be either Electrical or Mechanical bias, however, should favour one and have strong fault-finding ability within that discipline. Although beneficial, it’s not essential to have worked on heavy plant machinery, as long as you are comfortable in that environment and have a willingness to learn.

You should hold a recognised engineering qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds, HNC, HND.
