The Company

We are currently assisting our client, a multi £million chemical manufacturing business who are in the search for a maintenance engineer to join their site within the Wellingborough Area.

The business currently operates in over 100 countries and with annual sales north of £80 million they are looking to grow in influence both nationally and internationally. Our client’s business has been continually looking to improve both environmentally and ethically, as it has created specific policies to ensure that they are environmentally friendly.

Among recent years the business has been increasing its turnover despite issues facing the industry such as Covid-19. This has been due to the variety of sectors which are in partnership with our client, with the biggest being the automotive industry. So, this is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer to join a stable, secure business.

The Role

As one of the maintenance engineers on site, you will be responsible for:

  • Completing ppm’s, reacting to breakdowns, and completing remedial repair work across a busy manufacturing site.
  • Hands on the work will be a mix of electrical and mechanical tasks, but the breakdowns tend to be more mechanical in nature.
  • You will need to be confident fault finding using a Multimeter and reading electrical drawings.
  • Working on medium to heavy plant machinery, including 3 phase equipment (415v), conveyors, pneumatics, and bespoke machinery specific to this site.
  • Fault finding on automated machinery, this would be through various methods, including through PLCs.

The Candidate:

To be considered for this Maintenance Engineer opportunity, you should have:

  • Experience working within a factory environment.
  • Must have a Level 3 Engineering Qualification
  • Must have experience with Fault Finding on 3 Phase Machinery.
