Role: Maintenance Engineer
Package: £45,000
Location Basildon
Shifts: Monday-Friday, 4 weeks of day, 1 week night
Training: Full on site training, Including various PLC courses.
The Company:
My Client is one of the largest package delivery company in the world. They have grown from their inception over 100 years ago into a multi-billion-pound business. They have multiple fully automated sites across the UK with engineers across all of the sites. They have invested over 140 million into this new site (opened in 2017) meaning they have some of the most state of the art equipment on site which is highly automated and all driven by PLC’s. As a result of this, they will train their engineers on the PLC’s. They are currently going through considerable growth resulting in now looking for two engineers.
The Role:
The role of Maintenance Engineer will include:
- Reactive, Planned Preventative Maintenance , Continuous Improvement
- Working with Conveyors, belts, rollers, shoe sorters, tilt trays, boom unloaders, all of which are PLC driven!
- Fault find with electrical and mechanical components
- Swap like for like and strip and rebuild with electrical and mechanical components
- Getting involved with Project and CI on site
The Candidate:
To be suitable for the role of maintenance engineer you will need
- Recognised Engineer qualification
- Be able to fault find with electrical and mechanical components
- Experienced Maintenance Engineer working on a automated site
- Be a team player
