About the company
ATA are supporting a large UK manufacturing group at their bespoke production site in the East Peterborough area. Costing £9.5 million to build, the site has been operating since 2008 and produce 1000s of tonnage of their product every year. The company employ over 2000 staff across the country and boast a portfolio of manufactured goods second to none. These goods are some of UKs most recognisable brands of which have become a staple part of the British construction market. With a turnover eclipsing £400 million the business is going from strength to strength and are set to grow even further in 2022. They are now looking to add a maintenance fitter to their team to help with demand.
About the role
As a maintenance fitter you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective running of a busy manufacturing plant.
Responsibilities include
- Planned preventive maintenance.
- Reacting to breakdowns.
- Welding and fabrication.
- Mechanical strip and rebuild.
- Occasionally helping operate some plant machinery.
About you
To be considered for this maintenance fitter opportunity you should have the following:
- Experience with mechanical strip and rebuild
- Experience with welding & fabrication
- Be able to follow strict health and safety procedures
- Be happy working within a small engineering team
- Recognised engineering qualifications (Apprenticeship/Welding)
