Maintenance manager, Worksop, £45-50k
About the client
ATA are working closely with a bespoke manufacturing group at one of their facilities in the midlands. The group operate three-fold by recycling and processing plastic pellets and then repurposing them into various products. The group turnover north of £50 million across 6 small plants, with this soon to be 7 as they are opening a new facility. This highlights the impressive growth of the company over the last 5 years. This site in Worksop, which was opened only 10 years ago, is one of the companies few manufacturing plants producing plastic products we use on an everyday basis. They are now looking for a maintenance manager to join their team.
About the role
As a maintenance manager your responsibilities will include:
- Managing all aspects of the site maintenance including small team of 4 multiskilled maintenance engineers.
- Ensuring all plant and equipment is maintained to high standards.
- Using the CMMS to schedule in maintenance for the team.
- Hiring, disciplinary, 121s and appraisals.
- Identifying training needs and competency through regular performance reviews.
- Managing external contractors – ensuring they have the correct permits to work.
- Critical stock control – Sourcing and Purchasing of spare parts.
About you
As a maintenance manager you should have the following:
- Previous experience working as a maintenance or engineering manager.
- Experience working within a manufacturing setting.
- Previous experience scheduling in maintenance through a CMMS.
- Strong people skills with the ability to lead a small team.
- The ability to improve engineers’ skill set through training and development.
- Multiskilled knowledge (Electrical bias).
- Knowledge or experience within the plastic is desirable, however not essential.
