We are excited to be working with a World leading manufacturer who supply across a variety of industries from agriculture to construction and assisting them in their search for a maintenance engineer to join their well-established site based in Huntingdon.

Our client has a great reputation across the country which has contributed to them becoming the market leader across the UK in providing sustainable innovate solutions for water and energy. In the process of becoming a market leader, our client produces around nearly 40,000 tonnes of units per year.

The business has been growing continuously year on year, and with their growing reputation have been awarded contracts across the UK with high profile companies such as Severn Trent. In the process of gaining these contracts our client has reinvested into the business in large amounts, with over £3million worth of machinery being installed in 2022 alone.

The Role

The role is a mix of hands-on maintenance and management responsibilities, with around 60% of the role being hands on with a mix of electrical and mechanical tasks. Therefore, as the Maintenance Team Leader onsite, you will be responsible for:

  • Carrying out planned maintenance
  • Reacting to breakdowns
  • Completing remedial repair work across a busy manufacturing site. 
  • Maintaining machinery such as extrusion machines, mixers, conveyors and bespoke machinery specific to this site.
  • Handling shift handovers.
  • Developing and mentoring other engineers and members of staff.
  • Organising holiday rota’s, disciplinaries and appraisals.
  • Continuous improvement and leading projects

The Candidate

To be considered for this Maintenance Engineer opportunity, you will need:

  • Must have a minimum Level 3 Engineering Qualification
  • Must have experience with Fault Finding on 3 Phase Machinery.
  • To be comfortable working in fast paced environment.
