The company we are working with is a specialist systems integrator and deals with customers within the logistics and factory automation sectors. Unlike traditional manufacturers, they design, sell, and project manage full automation solutions. Despite being a close knit engineering team,the business generates turnover in the millions and has built a strong reputation within the automation industry.

Due to continued growth, they are now looking to recruit a Mechanical Design Engineer to strengthen their team.
The Role:
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the sales team by developing automation system layouts and concepts for client proposals.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Producing 2D layout designs of automated conveyor systems using AutoCAD.
- Developing concept solutions for tender submissions
- Creating 3D models of systems using Demo3D (training provided).
- Working closely with the sales team to provide technical input on enquiries
- Liaising with suppliers to source and specify equipment.
- Attending meetings with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Supporting the transition from concept design through to project handover
The Candidate:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience designing automation or conveyor systems layouts
- A background working for a systems integrator
- Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD
- Confidence communicating with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
- A fast-paced, solutions-focused designer
