Role: Mechanical Fitter
Shifts: Days & Afternoons - Monday to Friday / Weekends Off
Location: Bradford West Yorkshire
Salary: £32 000

The Company:
We are currently working with a well-established client in the textile industry that specialises in processing a specific type of product. This site has an excellent reputation for looking after its employees which is clear to see in its excellent staff retention figures. This means they don’t recruit very often, and this opportunity is quite rare. They are now looking to add a new Mechanical Fitter into their experienced team.
The Role:
- Working days and afternoons, your main responsibility is to keep the production plant and lines running by performing planned maintenance activities and responding to emergency breakdowns
- There are quite a lot of machinery breakdowns on shift so this role would suit a Mechanical Fitter who really enjoys fault finding and problem solving
- You will be working on components such as Pumps, Pipes, Valves, Shafts, Bearings, Sprockets, Gearboxes, Motors, Conveyors, Chemical dosing systems and Hydraulic pressers etc
- There is a mix of new and old machinery to work on and you won’t find this type of technology anywhere else.
Required Experience:
- You will be Apprentice trained as a Fitter / Maintenance Engineer with an NVQ level 3 or equivalent as a minimum
- Excellent fault-finding skills
- Experience within an automated manufacturing environment or simialr
- A good knowledge of Mechanical components and machinery.
