Mechanical Fitter/Assembly Fitter
Leeds, West Yorkshire
£28,980, 37.5 hour week regular days + 9% pension + onsite canteen + life assurance + death in service + healthcare package + 33 days holidays
ATA Recruitment are recruiting for Skilled Assembly or Mechanical fitters to work for a well renowned global client. They specialise in the design and manufacture of special purpose machinery who cater to a huge client base including food and FMCG. They have invested £11m to open an additional new site in Leeds, West Yorkshire and are now in need of highly semi-skilled assembly fitters. Role of the Mechanical Fitter:
- Use engineering drawings and instructions to build workshop machinery using SOP’s and fixtures
- Fit non electrical machines services
- Complete all shift documentation as required during assembly of components
- Assemble/dis-assemble & rig/de-rig all units
- Produce dimensional reports and strip inspections
- Conduct route cause analysis when required
Requirements of the Mechanical Fitter:
- Can read engineering drawings
- Qualified to a level 3 engineering qualification e.g. craft apprenticeship, city & guilds
- Time served or experience within assembly fittings
- Good communication skills
