We are looking to recruit a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer into a growing national business within heavy industry. The business acquired the site under 24 months ago and have completely turned it around. They have installed brand new machinery, set up a new stores system and got the reactive maintenance down from 95% to 50%. They have grown the turnover from £44.5M in 2019, to a staggering £62M in 2021. This would be a great opportunity for any Mechanical Maintenance Engineer who wishes to work in a small team for a stable business.
As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer you will be required to:
- To ensure that all machinery is kept in good working condition and to find faults before they have breakdowns.
- Ensure that all PPM’s are carried out as per the schedule
- Investigate and repair breakdowns
- To fill in Maintenance job sheets daily
- Keep near miss reports up to date and fill them out weekly
- Keep the Maintenance Supervisor updated on all breakdowns and site issues
- Be organised and keep on top of your PPMs to be able to look ahead and order the relevant parts needed for the upcoming tasks.
- Ensure that housekeeping in the workshop is up to standard and when finishing a job in the factory. Stay by the machine until is up and running
The successful Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will possess a good understanding of production machinery and be happy to take on board new training. You will also need to be a good team player. You would also need to hold a recognised Engineering qualification, of Level 2 of above.
You can expect to receive daily training on site by shadowing a senior member of the engineering team. Not only this but they are also offering 25 days holiday + bank and a contributory pension.
