Salary – £49k + OT + Bonus (OTE Mid £50k-£60k)

Hours – Rotating Shift Pattern

Our Client is one of the largest distribution companies in Europe, with a turnover in the hundred millions, and with plans to grow over the Billion Pound mark, this is a very exciting company to be part of. The company provides a distribution service in collecting parcels and bringing them to their sorting centres and then delivering them and during this time at the sorting centres, the company sorts through hundreds of thousands of parcels

Internationally our client has a solid reputation within Europe and the UK, with over 15000 employees just in the UK and within the UK they distribute over 250 million parcels a year.  Around 50% of the distribution sites in the UK have some form of automation in them, with different sizes of conveyor belts.

The Role

The Field Service Engineer will be supporting the proactive and reactive maintenance of automated and non-automated conveyors and sortation machinery at their depots. Covering Barking, the London area and the South, the role will consist of doing 30% reactive breakdown work and 70% routine service work. The role will be more mechanical in nature but will still require electrical work.

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be required to be able to fault find with the Multimeter, read electrical drawings, and change out faulty components both electrical and mechanical. 

The Candidate 

To be successful within this role:

•             A recognised electrical qualification

•             Experience in maintaining automated equipment

•             Full UK Driving License
