Salary - £44-48k DOE

Location – Barnsley

Hours – 3 on 3 off Days and Nights

Holidays – 22 Days

Training including F-GAS, Forklift, Engineering courses and much more

Other – Death in Service + Sick pay + Employer Pension + Private Healthcare

The Role:

ATA Recruitment are seeking an experience multi skilled maintenance engineer to support the maintenance department in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Your key responsibilities are to maintain a vast range of automated process and packaging equipment. You will work along side a team of 6 shift engineers and 1 apprentice. My client has order books full and are expanding their team and have created 3 new positions to meet the upkeep and sales.

Their site was fully upgraded 6 years ago and are always keen to make continuous improvements to ensure a smooth running of the production process.

Main responsibilities of the maintenance engineer:

-            Carrying out mechanical fault finding, repairs, and planned maintenance across production equipment

-            Working on conveyors, motors, pumps, gearboxes, and packaging machinery

-            Supporting breakdowns, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement work

-            Assisting with installation and upgrade projects across the site

-            Maintaining safety standards and ensuring all work complies with site procedures

What you will need as a maintenance engineer:

-            NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)

-            Proven experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment

-            Strong fault-finding and repair skills

-            Team player with a proactive, problem-solving approach
