Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer – Stockport | FMCG

Salary: £48,000 – £56,000 DOE + 9% Pension + Bonus + Overtime (1.5x / 2x)
Location: Stockport
Shift: 2 days / 2 nights, 4 off, with 18 days off every 7 weeks

About the Company

My client is a leading FMCG manufacturing site with a strong focus on machinery, plant upgrades, and automation. They have a large, experienced maintenance team and are looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join the department

Role Overview

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining production efficiency and uptime. Key responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on production machinery
  • Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
  • Working on conveyors, bearings, shafts, chains, sprockets, hydraulics, pneumatics, and motors
  • Completing all maintenance logs and paperwork accurately

Requirements

To apply for this role, you should have:

  • Minimum of a NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced FMCG environment
  • Experience across mechanical and electrical systems is desirable
