Payroll Manager
Alfreton
Contract until December 2022
£20-30 p/h – PAYE / Umbrella
Our client is looking for an experienced Payroll Manager to join the team in Alfreton.

The Role of Payroll Manager will involve the following:
- Managing the overall payroll for 600+ employees
- Managing relationships with external payroll provider, HMRC, benefits and pension providers etc.
- Ensure that weekly and monthly payroll is processed in an accurate, compliant, and timely manner
- Responsible for the expenses processed for all employees
- Accurately maintaining payroll information and records, in accordance with the statutory requirements
- Support all internal/external audits as required
- Monitor/interpret new legislation that impacts payroll
- Administer company car scheme, and ensure all checks are completed including driving licenses/insurance renewals/MOT’s etc.
- Control the benefit plans for private health care, life insurance, and pensions.
The Payroll Manager will need the following:
- Experienced Payroll + Benefits Manager
- Experience in completing payroll for many employees
- Capable of managing the benefits and expense system within the business
- Previously worked in a logistics/manufacturing/engineering environment
- Excellent communicator, that can deal with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
