Site Pipefitter
Location: Birmingham
6 Month Contract
Rate: £24.00 – £25.00 p/h (Outside IR35)
55–60 hours per week
Mon–Thurs 7am–5:30pm | Friday 7am–1pm
CSCS Required
Site Installation / Mechanical Engineering / Stainless Steel Pipework/ HVAC
Business Overview:
Due to a significant increase in workload on a major project, they are recruiting for Site Pipefitters to support installation works. This is a long-term contract opportunity with work secured on site until at least September.
The Role of Site Pipefitter includes:
• Installing thin wall stainless steel pipework systems
• Installing brackets and pipework supports (modular/meccano-style systems)
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and following pipe routes
• Working on heating systems and steam line infrastructure
• Supporting engineers and reporting to the on-site supervisor
• Working under RAMS and strict site safety controls
The successful Site Pipefitter will need the following attributes:
• Experience with stainless steel pipework installations
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• CSCS Card essential
• IPAF desirable
• Proven experience working on industrial/mechanical installation projects
• Pro-active, organised and able to work well within a team environment
