ATA are supporting a large engineering group at one of their bespoke manufacturing sites in the Coleshill area. The company employ over 2000 staff across the country with a resounding 15% of those employed being with the company for over 25 years, showing the company’s strong ability to retain their staff. The group are leaders within their market and and boast a portfolio of manufactured goods second to none. These goods are some of UKs most recognisable brands of which have become a staple part of the British construction market. With a turnover eclipsing £350 million the business is going from strength to strength and are set to grow even further in 2022.

About the role

As a process improvement engineer, you will be working closely with the production manager to drive improvements within the manufacturing process.

Your responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:

  • Improving the safety, quality & efficiencies within the production process.
  • Data collection and analyses of site efficiencies.
  • Reducing production downtime.
  • Identifying potential project opportunities.
  • Delivering on projects.
  • Identifying training needs within the operations team.
  • 8D reporting
  • Value stream mapping
  • Continuous improvement.
  • Assisting with auditing

About you

As a process improvement engineer, you should have experience within a similar capacity.

-        Experience within a manufacturing or process environment is essential.

-        Experience and knowledge of LEAN manufacturing systems and tools.

-        Analytic and organisation skills.

-        The ability to identify cost saving measures and improvements

-        A strong communicator.
