Process Operator

Location: Bradford

6 Month Contract - £18.54ph + holiday pay (PAYE)

Shifts: Continentals 2days/2nights 4 off + time off

Manufacturing / Chemical / Industrial / Polymer 

 

Our client is a global leader in sustainable chemical solutions for water intensive industries. They provide best suited products and expertise to improve our customers’ product quality, process and resource efficiency with a focus on pulp & paper, water treatment and oil & gas. An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Process Operator to join the team for a six-month contract, which could have the potential for permanent thereafter. This role requires a good knowledge of chemical processing.

The role of the Process Operator will involve the following:

 

  • Safe operation of the plant
  • Working to and following operating procedures
  • Run conditions to produce product to the required specification and the required rate
  • Carrying out of routine testing
  • Maintenance of housekeeping standards (Health, Safety & Environmental)
  • Corrective action on the plant
  • Complete and record required 5S activities
  • Liaise with other departments on issues such as bulk martials levels, and Engineering regarding technical support etc
  • All other process duties as instructed by TL
  • Collect all raw materials and stores issues required for the process and complete the MRP transactions

The Process Operator will need the following skills:

  • NVQ L2 Process Operations would be highly regarded
  • MRP - Production Booking Transactions (Utilising SAP but not essential)
  • Ability to follow written procedures to operate plant
  • Capable of lifting up to 25kg (manual handling equipment & training available)
  • CB Forklift Truck licence desirable
  • Flexible attitude to work and change
  • Attitude of continuous improvement and not resist change
  • Good work ethic and motivated
  • Able to work as part of a team
  • Solid manufacturing Process background desirable
