An exciting opportunity has arisen for Production Engineer to join our client who is a large Global business based in Milton Keynes.

They are also a 1 Billion turnover business with 20, 000 employees worldwide and over 80 distribution sites globally within its group

solenoid valve technology and bespoke integrated electro-pneumatic system solutions. With more than 60 years of experience in designing, developing, and manufacturing innovative solutions

Our client has a very steady team with a manager who have over 100 years combined experience. A new head of engineering has recently joined the business and is looking develop and improve the business through its current growth phase.

The Production Engineer will be responsible for:

Plan the design of the production process utilising Lean methodology Assess the capability of existing and new production processes. Carry out Process FMEA’s & Problem Solving. Procurement of both standard & special tooling. Document the build and test methodology including training of shop floor staff. Ensure that production process meets the demands of the Customer.

Responsible for implementing new products into the manufacturing environment ensuring a smooth transition for design to manufacture.  This includes setting up manufacturing cells for bespoke products, design and manufacture of specialized tooling/test equipment, creating production processes with supporting documentation and training of production operatives.  I also provide technical support to manufacturing departments, plan and implement continuous improvements to products to reduce production costs and lead times.

The Candidate:


Degree in engineering or relevant work experience. Good knowledge of Lean and Quality improvement tools. Analytical and motivated. Good interpersonal skills.
