Production Operative – Specialist Equipment Manufacturer

Derbyshire

£9.50 p/h

6am -2:00pm / 2pm -10pm (Monday to Thursday) Or 8am-4:30pm / 8:30-1:30pm (Friday)

3-month contract initially, with the opportunity to extend

Our client is one of the world’s leading suppliers of specialist components to an array of industries and is immediately seeking multiple Production Operatives to join their established team.

They have a long history of providing both quality and prompt delivery of their product portfolio ensuring their place as a continued market leader.

You will be responsible for the following:

  • Fabrication and repeatable day in day out.
  • Lifting equipment.
  • Fixing parts in order and to method into a large set of bellows.
  • Manufacture, cure, and finish parts for a large number of different profiles
  • Organize and prioritise production against demand.
  • Work with many different products.
  • Identify and help implement production improvements using the 5S process.
  • Report daily labour and materials using M3.

The candidate must possess the following skills to be considered for this role:

  • Ability to hand build using basic hand fabrication techniques.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with line manager and colleagues in preceding and subsequent processes.
  • Have the skills required to perform tasks, especially with the hands.
  • Tools – hand tools and rivets
  • Physically capable to lift weight (no more than 20kg).
  • Ability to read eng drawings, assembly drawings, BOM’s or procedures.
  • Good organisational skills to juggle priorities and optimise material and curing utilisation.
  • M3 reporting.
  • Capability to identify improvement opportunities.
