A fantastic opportunity has arisen for Sub Agent to join one of the UKs largest infrastructure companies, within their rail division.
Having won several frameworks with more in the bidding process, they are one of the most recognisable Tier 1 Contractors for their supply chain with Network rail and having won several certifications they are a company you want to be part of.
The Role:
The successful Project Engineer will sit within my client’s Rail Framework team, which operates out of Birmingham.
You will have a pipeline of work on bridges, earthworks, and structures in the NR Central region.
As Project Engineer you will be a technical lead on your own portfolio of projects (likely to be 2-3 concurrently) and you will be responsible for the review of site paperwork, so, a keen eye for detail and perfection is key!
You will be responsible for site paperwork such Task Briefs, WPP's, ITP's in accordance with the Design and you will be working closely with the consultant, who will be working in the same office as you.
It will be your duty to engage with the team and tap into people’s knowledge, skill and experience to extract key information, pulling the team together in a timely manner, at key points in the project.
It will also be an expectation that you will be there to support the Project team during the Development and Delivery phases of the framework, through the production and ongoing maintenance of high quality planning documents and information.
You will also need to be happy to engage with the Site Manager, pre-construction, and delivery team to ensure methodologies incorporated are in line with their plans.
The successful Project Engineer will be liaising with subcontractors, 3rd Parties and Authorities on behalf of the Project Team.
Requirements:
My client is looking for a Project Engineer with a HND / HNC or Degree within Civil Engineering and someone that has worked on Rail Infrastructure Schemes – Ideally frameworks.
I am only looking to speak with people with a ‘Can-Do’ attitude and someone that can work at pace due to the nature of the frameworks included.
You must have experience of working on bridges and structures.
Remuneration:
£40,000 - £45,000
Company Car or Car Allowance
39-hour week
Great routes into Project Management of technical roles such as CRE and CEM
All travel paid for (except travel from home to work)
