Project Manager – Manufacturing / Production
£450 - £500 per day (Ltd) – 12 Month Contract

My client is an established manufacturer who supply to a variety of small and blue-chip businesses globally.
They are currently moving their current production facilities into one brand new 120,000 sq ft site and require and experienced Project Manager to oversee the process of the move.
This will include:

Project manage the fit out of the new factory
-
Coordinate with the principle contractors to ensure the fit-out package is delivered on time and acting as the primary interface

Coordinate all interfaces for all aspects of mechanical design and installation between the construction supplier and the business to include utilities, ventilation & heating, structure & civils, building management system and the equipment fit out

Liaise with all parties to minimise scope creep by managing budgets

Managing all points of interface both internally and externally

Manage change
-
Update ERP systems, GANT charts and project plans
-
Be available to the tam to discuss issues and help solve any problems

Complete commissioning plans
The Project Manager will have the following skills and experience:
-
Time served Project Manager (minimum 5 years) with a background in Mechanical Design

Experience of coordinating with a principle contractor
-
Previously installed large production lines or facilities and managed the fit-out process
-
Familiar with ATEX and DSEAR environments as well as COMAH and HAZOP regulations
-
Strong problem solver
-
Degree qualified (preferred)
