Purchasing Expeditor / Administrator

6-month interim - £20,500k (+ holiday pay) pro rata

I am recruiting for a key client, and a highly reputable business in North Yorkshire, who are recruiting for a Purchasing Expeditor, on a 6-month interim basis, to assist with the administration and expediting of engineering components. My client is a leading OEM within precision industrial engineering markets, supplying a high end / high value product to their customers globally.
For the position of Purchasing Expeditor, you will require to conduct the following daily duties:
v Expediting of purchase orders to validate delivery dates and accelerate where required
v Obtain quotations ad-hoc as requested from internal customers, and record and return
v Ordering of basic components
v Communicate effectively at any level within the business as circumstances dictate
v Accurate inputting of information into the spreadsheets and computer systems
v Vendor delivery date accuracy
v Perform clerical work in conjunction with the operation of the department
The Purchasing Expeditor will need to have the following attributes:
v Previous experience of working in procurement is desirable
v Accurate and thorough with the ability to work as part of a team
v Good communication skills
v Good working knowledge of Microsoft excel & word
v Numerate, detail oriented and articulate
