LOCATION: South Yorkshire
SALARY: £30,000 K + lots of overtime !!!
SHIFT PATTERN: Day shift pattern

THE COMPANY
We are currently looking for a mechanical service engineer for a role based in South Yorkshire.
Our client is a renowned supplier within the heavy industrial sector and are rapidly growing due to the increased demand. Established since 1947 the company is now ready to expand and develop their service department, which focuses on business designing and installing mechanical handling solutions.
THE ROLE OF A MAINTENANCE ENGINEER.
The job responsibilities will consist of:
- Responsible for the mechanical maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment at various customer sites.
- Ensure any mechanical problems are rectified as a priority.
- Travelling to various sites and completing planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance.
- Carry out checks and inspection on machinery and equipment.
- Ensuring all equipment meets company, legal and health & safety requirements.
- Building and testing machinery at head office prior to installation to customer sites.
- Responsible for ensuring the workshop and individual toolboxes are maintained to the highest standards.
- Ensuring that engineering supplies requested are appropriate to engineering works being carried out.
- Managing engineering supplies inventory and re-ordering when required in line with agreed budget.
- Gain an in-depth knowledge of the multiple sites, equipment and processes
- Travelling extensively throughout the UK to conduct maintenance and repairs on company products.
THE IDEAL MAINTENANCE ENGINEER.
We are looking for a maintenance engineer who:
- has completed their NVQ level 3 mechanical qualification or above
- ideally has basic electrical skills but not compulsory.
- Has completed an apprenticeship.
- Has experience working in heavy industry.
- Is willing to travel throughout the UK.
