Service Engineer (Large Construction Equipment / Plant Equipment)
Based in Surrey
13 Weeks Temporary to Permanent Role
Hourly rate whilst temporary: £18 - £20 p/h PAYE + Holiday Pay
Working Hours: 7.30am – 5pm
This Company provides various services to support construction projects, focusing on foundational techniques. They offer solutions for structures such as buildings and bridges, utilising different methods depending on project requirements and ground conditions. With expertise in design and engineering, they ensure the selection of appropriate solutions for each project, resulting in successful outcomes.
This role will be a mobile plant service role and sometimes you will be on site and sometimes you will be called to various sites across London Kent, M25 Surrounding Counties, Reading, Rochester, Guildford
Key responsibilities as a Service Engineer:
- The role is a site and workshop-based role, and you will be fitting, maintaining, and refurbishing large construction equipment.
- The role does involve reactive service – so you will be called to various sites to service the construction equipment.
- Maintenance will mainly be done on hydraulic systems – rams, shafts, cylinders etc
- You will need to re-wire and replace motors.
- You will be provided with tablets with all the engineering drawings / schematics on.
- Based in a construction environment, these rigs are breaking down on a building site.
The skills required for a Service Engineer:
- Experience in servicing construction equipment, or similar machinery within the Agricultural sector such as large farming equipment, Tractors, Harvesters etc.
- Apprentice Trained or a Mechanical / Electrical Qualification
- Be able to travel.
- Proactive.
- Happy to work within a construction environment.
