Our client specialises in sorting of a variety of products for the healthcare and industrial industry. They are looking to recruit a Maintenance Supervisor to work in their automated production facility in Birmingham. Building on decades of industry expertise, they use state of the art design and manufacturing facilities to provide first-class adaptive engineering solutions for an extensive range of healthcare organisations.  Due to regular expansion 1 million worth of expansion in the last year.

This a great opportunity for a maintenance Supervisor or team leader looking to progress and improve there a career into an operational role there is clear path to become Engineering within 3 years.

With yet more ambitious growth targets for this financial year the company have purchased additional machinery to expand their production capacity yet further. This is alongside other continuous improvement projects across their various sites.

The Role

The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for two key areas within the business. Firstly it will be to oversee the various Projects and Continuous Improvement projects. This will include managing timescales, allocating engineers.

Secondly, the Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for managing all maintenance functions across the site including both reactive and planned preventative maintenance. With 8 engineers available. You will also be expected to help with breakdowns and PPM

Alongside the above there would also be various responsibilities this will include the planning and co-ordination of installations, testing, operation, maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment as per Production requirements, and the management of continuous improvement projects.

The Candidate

To be successful in your application you must have the following skills or attributes:

• Engineering qualification in either electrical or mechanical engineering

• Experience in Managing a team

• Electrical experience with fault finding, Motors Drives, Sensors, Relays, Contactors, etc

• Mechanical experience such as hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, belts, chains, etc

• Continuous improvement experience

• Organising and planning experience

Engineering qualification Electrical or mechanical
