Material Handling / Conveyors / Heavy Engineering

My client is a leading engineering organisation supplying bespoke conveyor and materials handling systems into major infrastructure and tunnelling projects. They are looking for an experienced Site Manager to oversee the installation of a conveyor scheme in Paris, France.

Daily Duties of the Site Manager:
• Plan, coordinate and supervise daily site activities across mechanical, electrical and civil work scopes
• Ensure all site works are executed in line with Health & Safety, CDM and ZERO Harm procedures
• Support the client with RAMS, Lift Plans and Scope documentation
• Lead daily briefings and liaise effectively with client and internal project teams
• Manage and maintain all site-based H&S files and regulatory documentation
• Resolve quality issues and support warranty work where required
• Coordinate site deliveries and ensure correct sequencing of installation activities
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with client representatives and contractors

The successful Site Manager will have the following attributes:
• 5–10 years’ experience as a Site Manager in heavy engineering environments
• Fluent French (written & verbal) – essential
• Strong understanding of conveyor systems, steelwork assembly or heavy plant installation
• Experience writing or reviewing RAMS, Lift Plans and Method Statements
• Proficient in reading engineering drawings
• Motivated, organised, assertive and able to work under pressure
• Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate diverse teams

Qualifications Required:
• HNC/HND in an engineering or technical discipline
• SMSTS
• CSCS Black or equivalent
