5-month contract - minimum
Rates: £500 - £550 per day (Limited Co.)

Our client:
I am working with a key client who are a heavy materials & process handling & capital equipment engineering and installation company, based out of Yorkshire. We are recruiting for Site Managers, on a key customer site in London, for a minimum of a 4-week initial contract on a shutdown, to assist on the upgrade of the key facility thereafter.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible as the principal contractor for all vendors and sub-contractors on site
- Signing permits, being the main point of contact
- Managing all works to make sure required standards are adhered
- Conducting any RISK (RAMS) assessments and ensuring safety
- Strong technical understanding on a heavy process mechanical plant & electrical site installation (not building construction)
- Overseeing all scaffolding and cladding sub-contactors
- Report any snagging issues or problems to Senior management
- Ability to work professionally on site at clients’ premises, being the key representation
The successful candidate:
- 5-10 years ideally in Site Manager positions managing £multi-million programmes
- Proven experience in heavy engineering / capital equipment industries – power / chemical / process manufacturing (not building/commercial construction)
- Time served / NVQ L3 Engineering ideally
- SMSTS / IOSH etc
- Strong communication skills, with a keen eye for Health, Safety and Quality
- Ability to travel or be commutable to London
- Ability to work 10-12-hour shifts (7am-5pm), with weekend working also during shutdowns
