Site Welder – MIG/TIG

Scotland location

3–6-month contract

£20.00p/h - £25.00p/h DOE – Ltd Co. (outside IR35) or

£15.50p/h - £16.50p/h DOE + Hol. pay (PAYE)

Site installation/Engineering/Process plant/Clean rooms

Business Overview:

Our client is a reputable expanding privately owned company based out of Yorkshire, delivering design, manufacture, installation and commission of materials handling equipment to heavy & process industries. They have continued a sustained period of growth and have delivered multiple large engineering installation and refurbishment projects as a principal contractor. Installing machinery, plant and supporting structures on their clients’ sites. As such there is now a requirement for a Site Welder to support a site installation project through to completion and handover.

The Role of Site Welder includes:

  • Read and work from technical engineering drawings
  • Working on silos, tanks, and associated site welding requirements
  • A high level of welding required – TIG & MIG
  • All stainless-steel work required
  • Working 60hrs plus p/w, with every other weekend off

The Requirements for Site Fabricator / Plater are:

  • Site safety passport required (i.e., CSCS card / CCNSG / Ace card)
  • Time served apprentice trained / and coded MIG/TIG
  • Experienced in clean process plant, materials handling equipment within pharma, food, medical industries etc, would be beneficial
  • Professional and approachable
  • Team player, attention to detail
