Software Controls Engineer – West Yorkshire
3-month contract (likely extension) / Outside IR35
Rate 40.00p/h - £45p/h DOE

I am currently recruiting on behalf of a key client based in Yorkshire, who are a global leading automation machinery manufacturer. They operate in the design, manufacture and installation of special purpose automated machinery & robotics into fast paced FMCG, medical and green energy industries. Due to continued growth, an incredible amount of projects, and investment, they are looking for experienced Software Controls Engineer to join their team on an interim basis. Initially this contract/project is for 3-6 months.
For this position, you will require to conduct the following daily duties:
v Responsible for the development/tweaking of code on a new machinery, making it re-useable etc
v Developing new modules
v Development of new features through the development of code
v Low level interface conducting the whole process from scratch
v Utilising some blocks from existing library and standard platforms
v Working on technical automation and robotics, servo-driven applications, and motion control etc.
v FAT and SATs
v Site installation and commission, customer interface
The successful person will need to have the following attributes:
v Experienced on Rockwell Allen Bradley, Studio 5000 FactoryTalk (interface), Unified HMI
v Familiarity with fast paced servo-driven automation/robotics
v HNC/HND/Degree level electrical/software/systems Engineering or similar ideally
