The business delivers and manages projects end to end from design through to installation, manufacture & commissioning. The business deliver projects worth up to £30 million and well backed as part of a large multi national group.

We are currently supporting the business in the recruitment of a Controls Engineer. They are looking for someone with immediate effect who has experience in software projects using either Siemens or Rockwell platforms.

The Role
As a Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for running all software engineering aspects of projects. This can be for bespoke single machine projects or for full process lines the company are integrating for their customers.
During a typical project your core responsibilities will be:
- PLC Programming across Siemens, Rockwell and Mitsubishi platforms
- Taking modular blocks of code and modifying them to fit the purpose of projects you are working on
- Development of the control logic and FDS for projects.
- Carrying out factory acceptance testing of the software you have developed
- Identifying bugs in software during this process and modifying the code until it is fit for purpose.
- Carrying out commissioning at site when required for full process line integration projects.
- Third party support for the Siemens, Rockwell and Mitsubishi software when required.
- Supporting HMI and SCADA work.
The Candidate
My client is looking for a Controls Engineer with
- Experience in software development with either Siemens or Rockwell platforms.
- Someone interested in taking software projects from concept to completion.
- A strong attention to detail.
- Someone who works well in a multi functional team – all mechanical, electrical and software projects is done by their in house team.
- Someone with an appetite to learn about new technology.
